On the engine of fashion. 331 the generator 58.3701 with the small-sized integrated Ya-112A regulator, the built-in vypryamitelny BPV4-60-02 block and the K-73 condenser is installed. The device of the generator is shown in fig. 7.6, and the scheme of connections of its system in the electrical circuitry of the car – in fig. 7.7.

       PREVENTIONS
1. Do not allow operation of the generator with the wires of consumers disconnected from its conclusions. It causes the dangerous increase in tension leading to damage of the vypryamitelny block and regulator of tension.
2. The - plug of the rechargeable battery has to be always connected to "mass" of the car or engine. Because of the wrong connection of the battery current via the vypryamitelny block of the generator will sharply raise, and it will fail.
3. The generator and the regulator of tension work regularly only on condition of good electric contact between the regulator and the generator, and also between the generator and the engine.
4. Do not check operation of the generator for "spark" even short-term connection of conclusions "+" the generator with "weight", at the same time through the vypryamitelny block there pass considerable current and diodes fail. It is possible to check the generator only by means of the ampermeter and the voltmeter.
5. It is impossible to check chains of charging current the megohm meter or the lamp fed more than 12 V without having disconnected previously a wire from the generator and the regulator of tension.
6. Check durability of isolation of the stator the increased tension only at the stand and it is obligatory with the conclusions of phase windings disconnected from the vypryamitelny block.
7. At electric welding of knots and details of a body of the car disconnect wires from all plugs of the generator and the rechargeable battery.
8. It is forbidden to check diodes of the vypryamitelny block of the generator of alternating current 110, 220 V and more even if there is a control neon lamp, or the megohm meter as it has tension, too high for diodes. In this case the diode when checking will be punched (there will be a short circuit).


Control checks of the generator 58.3701
Check at the stand allows to define serviceability of the generator and compliance of its characteristics nominal. At the checked generator of a brush rings – pure have to be ground well in to contact rings of a collector, and.

1. Install the generator on the stand and connect as it is specified fig. 7.8.
2. Turn on the stand electric motor, increase the frequency of rotation of a rotor up to 5000 min.-1 and at the same time increase a rheostat loading current until tension reaches 13 Century.
3. Measure loading current. It has to be the serviceable generator 52 A. If the measured size of current is less, windings of the stator or a rotor are faulty, diodes of the vypryamitelny block are damaged or contact rings and brushes are worn-out.
4. Tension on a conclusion "+" the generator is checked at the ambient temperature of (25±10) °C and frequency of rotation of a rotor of 3500 min.-1. The rechargeable battery of the stand has to be charged not below than for 75%. Establish by a rheostat 4 (see fig. 7.8) current of return 16 A and measure tension on a conclusion "+" the generator which has to be 13,9–14,6 Century.
Check of the generator oscillograph
The oscillograph allows in a form of a curve of the straightened tension precisely and to quickly check serviceability of the generator and to define the nature of damage.
For check disconnect conclusions "30", "+" from the rechargeable battery and rotate a generator rotor with a frequency of 1500-2000 min.-1, giving current from the battery only on an excitement winding.

At serviceable diodes of the vypryamitelny block and a winding of the stator the curve of the straightened tension has the sawtooth form I (fig. 7.9) with uniform teeth. If diodes are closed накоротко punched) or there is a break in a chain of diodes (a stator winding), the curve form sharply changes: uniformity of teeth is broken and there are deep hollows (see fig. 7.9, curve II and III).
Check of the regulator of tension
The small-sized integrated regulator of tension like Ya-112A is built in the generator. It represents non-demountable unregulated knot and is located on a cover from contact rings of the generator.
The regulator automatically continuously changes the current of excitement of the generator so that tension of the generator was supported in the set limits at change of frequency of rotation and current of loading of the generator.
Check of the regulator on the car
The voltmeter of a direct current with a scale to 15–30 V, an accuracy class not lower than 1,0 is necessary for check.
1. Launch the engine and let's it work 15 min. with a frequency of rotation of a bent shaft about 2000 min.-1 at the included headlights.
2. Measure tension between the plug "Sh" and the case ("weight") of the generator. Tension has to be in limits 13,5-14,6 B at a temperature of air and the generator (25±10) °C. At a temperature higher or lower tension can be respectively slightly lower or 0,2-0,3 Century higher.
If the rechargeable battery constantly is not completed charging or recharged and adjustable tension does not keep within the specified limits, replace tension regulator.

1. Between conclusions "Ш" and "In" the regulator (fig. 7.10) include the 1-3 W lamp and of 12 V, and connect the metal basis ("weight") of the regulator to the current source - plug.
2. To conclusions of "B", "In" give at first voltage of 12 V, and then – 15–16 Century. If the regulator is serviceable, then in the first case the lamp has to burn, and in the second – to die away. If the lamp does not burn in both cases, then in the regulator internal break; if the lamp burns in both cases – in the regulator with test. Tension regulator is not subject to repair.
Dismantling and assembly of the generator
1. Unscrew screws 19 (see fig. 7.6) and remove the brush holder 15 assembled with the regulator 20.
2. Mark in any way a relative positioning of covers 5, 24 and the stator 28.
3. Turn off nuts of coupling screws and uncover the 5th generator together with a rotor 12.
4. Clamp a rotor in a vice, turn off a nut of 1 pulley 3 and a stripper remove a pulley from a shaft of a rotor 11.
5. Take out from a groove on a shaft a segment spline 10 and uncover 5.
6. Turn off nuts of the screws connecting tips of diodes to conclusions of a winding of the 29th stator 28 and take the stator 28 of a cover 24 generators.
7. Turn off a nut of a contact bolt and remove the vypryamitelny block 26.
8. Collect the generator upside-down. At the same time not coaxiality of openings in paws of covers of the generator has to be no more than 0,4 mm therefore at assembly carefully combine the tags put before dismantling on covers and the stator or insert special caliber into these openings. A nut of fastening of a pulley tighten the moment of 45-72 N · m (4,5–7,2 kgfs · м).
Check of a winding of excitement of a rotor

Check an ohmmeter (fig. 7.11) whether there is no short circuit between rounds in a winding of a rotor and short circuit of a winding on the rotor case.
If the winding has no short-circuited rounds, then its resistance has to be (3,7±0,2) Ohms at a temperature of 20 °C. At measurement you watch reliability of contact between rings of a rotor and the conductors attached to them.
Check of the stator
Before check conclusions of a winding of the stator have to be disconnected from diodes of the vypryamitelny block.

First of all check an ohmmeter or by means of a control lamp and the rechargeable battery whether there are no breaks in a winding of the stator and whether its rounds on "weight" (fig. 7.12) become isolated.
Check the special defectoscope whether is not present in a winding of the stator of short-circuited rounds.
Isolation of wires of a winding has to be without traces of an overheat which occurs at short circuit in rectifier diodes. Replace the stator with such damage of a winding.
Check of diodes of the vypryamitelny block
The serviceable diode passes current only in one direction, faulty can not pass current (break of a chain) at all or to pass current in both directions (short circuit).
In case of damage of one of diodes of the vypryamitelny block it is necessary to replace all vypryamitelny block.

Short circuit of diodes can be checked, without removing the generator from the car, previously having disconnected wires from the rechargeable battery and the generator, an ohmmeter or by means of a lamp (25–40 W) and the rechargeable battery, as shown in fig. 7.13.

For check of at the same time "positive" and "negative" diodes connect through a lamp the battery + plug to the "plus" plug of the generator, and the - plug – on the case. If the lamp burns, then both "negative", and "positive" diodes are closed накоротко. For more exact diagnostics check the vypryamitelny block on the removed and disassembled generator with the disconnected statorny winding and the condenser (fig. 7.14).

       NOTE
For the purpose of simplification of fastening of details of the vypryamitelny block three diodes have on the plus case of the straightened tension. These positive diodes are also pressed in one plate of the vypryamitelny block. Other three negative diodes, have on the minus case of the straightened tension and are pressed in other plate of the vypryamitelny block.

At serviceable diodes of the vypryamitelny block the control lamp has to burn in position I of the switch, in situation II – should not burn. If in both provisions of the switch the lamp burns or does not burn, means diodes of the vypryamitelny block are faulty and it should be replaced.
Replacement of the brush holder
If brushes wore out and act from the brush holder less than on 5 mm, replace the brush holder with brushes.
Remove the brush holder as it was done when dismantling the generator (see above), establish upside-down, trying not to damage brushes about sharp edges of contact rings of a rotor.
Before installation of the brush holder blow the place of its installation from coal dust.
Replacement of the bearing of a rotor from the drive
1. To take the faulty bearing 7 (see fig. 7.6) from a cover 5, unscrew four screws holding a washer of the 9th fastening of the bearing, remove a washer and on a manual press to a vypressuyta the bearing from a cover.
2. Press the bearing in a cover on the press, putting effort only to its external ring, and fix by a washer 9.

       NOTE
It is possible to install the new bearing in a generator cover only if the opening for the bearing in a cover is not deformed. If the opening is damaged, replace a cover.

Engine of fashion. 331 it is equipped with an electric starter 421.3708 with compulsory electromagnetic movement of the drive 26 and the roller coupling of a free wheeling (fig. 7.15) which is built in the drive.
The starter represents the electric motor of a direct current of consecutive excitement with four poles on which coils of excitement 31 are located. The anchor of a starter 30 rotates in three bronze-and-graphite bearings 6, 23, 28 installed in covers 1 and 20 and in an intermediate support. Covers and the case 32 are connected by two coupling hairpins to M6 carving. On a back cover it is fixed a traverse 7 on which two isolated brush holders 34 and two brush holders 8 closed on "weight" are strengthened.

The scheme of inclusion of a starter is given in fig. 7.16. Starter power supply from the rechargeable battery 5 with a capacity of 55 And · h. Management of a starter – remote by means of the electromagnetic traction relay 18 (see fig. 7.15). The direction of rotation of an anchor of a starter right if to take a detached view the drive.

Control checks of a starter
To be convinced of overall performance of a starter, check its electric and mechanical parameters at the stand.
The starter has to eat from completely charged rechargeable battery or from a special source which characteristic of power failure corresponds to the characteristic of power failure of the rechargeable battery.

The electric circuit of connections for check of a starter is shown in fig. 7.17.
Connecting wires to a current source, the ampermeter and a contact bolt of the traction relay of a starter have to have section not less than 16 mm. Temperature when checking has to be (25±10) °C, and brushes have to be ground well in to a collector.
Check of working capacity at the stand
The switch 3 (see fig. 7.17) four times include a starter under different conditions of braking. For example, at the brake moments 2–2,5; 5,5– 6,6; 9–10,8 and 11,5–12,5 N · m (0,2–0,25; 0,55–0,66; 0,9–1,08; 1,15–1,25 kgfs · м). Duration of each inclusion of a starter has to be no more than 5 pages. If the starter does not rotate a gear wreath or its work is followed by abnormal noise, sort a starter and check its details.
Test on the mode of full braking
Slow down a gear wreath of the stand, include a starter and measure current, tension and the brake moment which have to be respectively no more than 520 And, no more than 7 V and not less than 15,7 N · m (1,6 kgfs · м).
If the brake moment is lower, and the current and tension are higher than the specified values, then mezhvitkovy short circuit in windings of the stator and an anchor or short circuit of windings on "weight" can be the cause of it.
If the brake moment and force of the consumed current is lower than the values stated above, then oxidation and pollution of a collector, strong wear of brushes or decrease in elasticity of their springs, lag of brushes in brush holders, weakening of conclusions of a winding of the stator, oxidation or a podgoraniye of contact bolts of the traction relay can be the cause.
At full braking of a gear wheel the anchor of a starter should not be turned; if it occurs, then the coupling of a free wheeling is faulty.
Test on the idling mode
Bring a starter gear wheel out of gearing with a gear wreath of the stand. Include a starter and measure the consumed current and frequency of rotation of an anchor of a starter which have to be respectively 75 And together with the relay of a starter and (5000±500) min.-1 at a tension on plugs of a starter of 11-11,5 Century.
If the current and frequency of rotation differ from specified, then the reasons can be the same, as at the previous test.
Check of the traction relay of a starter
Establish between a persistent ring 24 (see fig. 7.15) and a gear wheel the 25th laying 15 mm thick and turn on the relay. Tension of turning on of the relay has to be no more than 8 Century. Current of food of a winding should not exceed 23 A. If it is more, then the relay winding is faulty.
Dismantling of a starter
1. Turn off a nut of the lower contact bolt of the traction relay 18 (see fig. 7.15) and disconnect from it a conclusion of the 10th winding of excitement.
2. Unscrew screws of fastening of the traction relay and remove it.
3. Turn off nuts of coupling hairpins.
4. Unscrew two screws and take off a cap 5.
5. Remove washers: lock 3, adjusting and persistent.
6. Uncover 1 from a collector.
7. Take out brushes from brush holders and remove to a traverse 7.
8. Separate the case 32 and a cover 20.
9. Turn off a nut of fastening of an axis of the lever 21, turn out an axis from a cover 20 and take out the lever.
10. Take out an anchor 30 with the drive assembled from a cover 20.
11. Having removed a persistent ring 24 to the left, remove the castle ring established under persistent and then the drive 26 from a shaft.
12. For survey of contacts of the traction relay 18 unscrew two screws of fastening of a cover of 12 relays, unsolder conclusions and uncover.
After dismantling blow details compressed air and wipe.
Check of technical condition and repair
Anchor
Check the megohm meter or by means of a lamp voltage of 220 V whether there is no short circuit of an anchor on "weight".

Give current through a lamp to plates of a collector and to the core of an anchor (fig. 7.18). Burning of a lamp indicates short circuit of a winding or plate of a collector with "weight". When checking the megohm meter has to show resistance not less than 10 kOhm. Replace the anchor having short circuit with "weight".
The special device check whether there are no short circuits between sections of a winding or plates of a collector, and also whether there are no breaks in the place of a pripayka of conclusions of sections of a winding to collector plates.

Examine a working surface of a collector and check its beating concerning pins of a shaft (fig. 7.19).
Smooth out the polluted or burned surface a fine-grained grinding skin. At considerable damage of a surface or its beating more than 0,06 mm pierce a collector on the lathe, removing as little as possible metal. The minimum diameter to which it is possible to pierce a collector, – 36 mm. After a pro-point to the collector's proshlifuyta a fine-grained grinding skin.
Check a core beating concerning shaft pins. If it more than 0,08 mm – replace an anchor.
Check a condition of surfaces of shliyets and pins of a shaft of an anchor. On them there should not be zadir, забоин and wear. If on a surface of a pin of a shaft there are traces of yellow color from gear wheel plugs which can become the reason of jamming of a gear wheel on a shaft, remove them with a fine-grained grinding skin.
Drive
Teeths of a gear wheel should not have considerable wear. If on a zakhodny part of teeths there are zaboina, then polish them a fine-grained emery circle of small diameter. The gear wheel has to be turned easily concerning a nave of the obgonny coupling in the direction of rotation of an anchor at launch of the engine and should not be turned absolutely in an opposite direction.
If details of the drive are damaged, are considerably worn-out or the gear wheel is turned in both directions, replace the drive.
Stator
Check the megohm meter or by means of a lamp voltage of 220 V lack of short circuit of a winding of the stator for "weight".
You bring tension through a lamp to the general conclusion of a winding and to the starter case. If the lamp burns or the megohm meter shows resistance less than 10 kOhm and also if on a winding overheat traces (isolation blackening), replace a winding. For replacement of coils of a winding of the stator remove poles, having turned out fixing screws. Before removal make tags on the case and poles that at assembly they reached former position.
Before installation about 50 °C are recommended to warm up a winding approximately to give it flexibility and to facilitate laying on poles. Tighten screws of fastening of poles to the full that the air gap between an anchor and poles of the stator was same, as before dismantling.
Upon termination of assembly check internal diameter between poles which has to be 66 mm. Boring of poles is not allowed.
Covers
Check whether is not present on covers of cracks. If they are, replace covers. Check a condition of bearings of sliding (plugs). If they are worn-out, replace covers assembled or only plugs. Deploy new plugs after a press fitting to the size of 12,5+0,035 mm. The size of the plug of an intermediate support after processing of 19,2+0,195 - 0,065 mm.
Check reliability of fastening of brush holders on a traverse, holders of brushes of positive conclusions should not have short circuits with "weight".
Brushes have to move freely in brush holder grooves. Replace the brushes which are worn out up to the height less than 6 mm, previously having ground in them to a collector.
Check a dynamometer effort with which springs press on brushes. For new brushes it has to be 10–14 N (1–1,4 kgfs), if necessary replace springs new.
Traction relay of a starter
Check ease of movement of an anchor of the relay. Check a condition of contacts. If they burned slightly, smooth out them a fine-grained skin or a flat "velvet" file. At considerable damage of contact bolts to the place of contact with a contact plate it is possible to turn them on 180 °.
Check the relay winding resistance, reliability of connection of its conclusions with the plug "50" and "weight", lack of traces of an overheat of a winding. Replace the damaged relay.
Assembly of a starter
Before assembly grease with GOI-54 or Litol-24 lubricant of a vent of a shaft of an anchor and nave of the coupling, a flood ring and an axis of the lever. Oil bearings and necks of a shaft of an anchor tool I-50A or motor M-8B1.
Prior to assembly check the free axial wheeling of a shaft of an anchor, previously having gathered covers, the case and an anchor and having tightened nuts on coupling hairpins. At the same time the anchor can be without drive, and a cover – without lever. The free axial wheeling of a shaft has to be 0,7–0,07 mm. The size of a free wheeling is changed selection of quantity or thickness of adjusting washers. Having picked up adjusting washers, collect a starter as it should be, the return to dismantling. After assembly check a starter at the stand.

Features of a design
The system of ignition consists of the coil of ignition B117-A, the distributor 47.3706, the A20-D1 spark plugs (for the engines using AI-91 gasoline), wires of high voltage with candle tips, the switch (lock) of ignition.
Reliability and profitability of operation of the engine substantially depend on a condition of devices of system of ignition. During the checking and adjustment of system of ignition pay special attention to a condition of contact connections in chains of low and high voltage, and also on a state and purity of a surface of plastic details of covers of the distributor of ignition, the coil of ignition, candle tips and high-voltage wires. Pollution of these surfaces leads to leakage of a high-tension current, breakdown of isolation and causes interruptions in operation of the engine.
For decrease in level of the radio noise created by system of ignition during the work on the engine high-voltage noise suppressing wires of PVPA or PVPPV with a resistance distributed on length are established.

Ignition distributor
Features of a design
On the engine of fashion. 331 install the distributor of ignition 47.3706 manufactured on the basis of the distributor of ignition 147 A, differing from it in characteristics of centrifugal and vacuum regulators.

The case of the distributor is cast from aluminum alloy. In the case 6 (fig. 7.21) the roller 19 which rotates in two bearings of sliding 18 pressed in a case shaft is located. Bearings grease through a drop butterdish 4. On a plate of the roller 19 the mechanism of the centrifugal regulator is located, at drawing apart small weights 17 which under the influence of centrifugal forces the tetrahedral cam 8 turns on some corner, than earlier or later disconnection of contacts of the breaker is provided, and, therefore, the spark proskakivaniye moment between electrodes of spark plugs respectively changes.
The breaker of current of low voltage is fixed on the mobile plate 24 connected by draft 22 to a diaphragm of the vacuum regulator 23 and also the rychazhka 28 with contact and the textolite pillow pressed by a spring to a tetrahedral cam consists of a rack with motionless contact 25.
The surface of a cam is greased with the fillets impregnated in oil 20. Between mobile and motionless plates of the breaker the ball-bearing is installed. Parallel to contacts of the breaker the condenser 5 strengthened on the distributor case by two screws is switched on.
The runner 10 rotating together with the roller located under a plastic cover 9 distributes a high-tension current on spark plugs.
In the central electrode of a cover of the distributor the contact piece of coal 13 is built in combined (with a resistance).
The mass of small weights and effort of a tension of springs of the centrifugal regulator are picked up so that to provide change of the moment of ignition depending on the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine.
The vacuum regulator 23 advancings of ignition changes the ignition moment depending on engine loading (on depression in an inlet pipe).

Control checks
Before installation of the distributor of ignition on the stand check a condition of contacts of the breaker, lack of jamming for axes a rychazhka with mobile contact and effort of pressing of contacts which has to be 5–6,3 N (0,50–0,63 kgfs). If the rychazhok jams on an axis or its spring weakened, replace contact group.
Check wear of a small pillow a breaker rychazhka; in case of wear establish the required gap between contacts of the breaker.
If contacts of the breaker are polluted, burned or erosion underwent, then smooth out them a velvet file.

       PREVENTION
It is impossible to apply a grinding skin and other abrasive materials to this purpose.

After cleaning wipe contacts of the breaker with the suede moistened in gasoline. Then delay a rychazhok that gasoline evaporated, and wipe contacts once again with dry suede. Instead of suede it is possible to apply any material which is not leaving fibers.
Contacts have to adjoin all surface. If it not so, then, turning in a rack arm, adjust the provision of motionless contact. It is impossible to turn in a rychazhok with mobile contact.
Wipe dirt and oil from a distributor cover.
Having slightly raised a distributor cover, check whether there is an external contact of a rotor against a cover electrode at the time of disconnection of contacts of the breaker.
For check of the distributor install it on the stand for check of electric devices and connect the distributor to the ignition coil, the rechargeable battery and the electric motor which frequency of rotation can be regulated. Connect four plugs of a cover to spark rated sportsmen of the stand which gap between electrodes can be changed.
Establish a gap of 5 mm between electrodes of rated sportsmen, turn on the electric motor of the stand and rotate the distributor roller several minutes clockwise with a frequency of 2000 min.-1. Then increase a gap between electrodes to 10 mm and track whether there are no internal categories in the distributor. Internal categories come to light on a sound or on easing and interruptions of sparking on a rated sportsman of the test bench.
In operating time the distributor should not rustle with any frequency of rotation of the roller.
Check of the corner of the closed condition of contacts (CCCC)
Uncover the distributor installed on the stand.
Turn on the electric motor of the stand and finish the frequency of rotation of the roller of the distributor until the introduction in operation of the centrifugal regulator of an advancing of ignition.
On the lit sites of a scale measure a corner of the closed condition of contacts which has to be 50 ° ±2 °30'.
After check of an angle of short circuit of contacts check corners between the moments of disconnection of contacts in the first and other cylinders which have to be 90 ° ±1 ° and 180 ° ±1 °.
Check and adjustment of characteristics of the distributor of ignition
For check and adjustment of the characteristic of the centrifugal regulator of the distributor install the distributor on the stand. Turn on the electric motor of the stand and rotate the distributor roller with a frequency of 150-200 min.-1. On the graduated disk of the stand count value in degrees at the time of one of four sparking between rated sportsman electrodes.
Fixing values at each increase in frequency of rotation for 200 - 300 min.

- 1, define number of degrees of an advancing of ignition of rather initial value depending on the frequency of rotation of a shaft of the distributor. Compare the received characteristic with the characteristic in fig. 7.22.
If necessary adjust the centrifugal regulator, turning in in the necessary party of a rack of fastening of its springs. Turn in a rack of fastening of a thin spring for adjustment of the regulator at a small frequency of rotation. With a frequency of rotation more than 1000 min.-1 turn in a rack of fastening of a thick spring.
For check and adjustment of the characteristic of the vacuum regulator of the distributor rotate the roller of the distributor installed on the stand with a frequency of 1000 min.-1. On the graduated disk of the stand count values in degrees at the time of one of four sparking between rated sportsman electrodes.
Create in the camera of the vacuum regulator depression by means of the vacuum pump.

Smoothly increasing depression, through each 2,7 kPa (20 mm of mercury.) note number of degrees of an advancing of ignition of rather initial value. Compare the received characteristic to the characteristic in fig. 7.23.
The characteristic of the vacuum regulator it is possible to adjust movement it concerning the distributor case in the horizontal plane or a rikhtovky ring surface of a cover of its case.
Pay attention to the clearness of a reset of a mobile plate of the breaker after shutdown of the vacuum pump and restoration of atmospheric pressure.
Check of the condenser
The condenser capacity measured in the range of frequency of 50-1000 Hz has to be in limits 0,20–0,25 мкФ.
Isolation resistance at (25±5) °C has to be more than 10 megohms.
Dismantling of the distributor of ignition
1. Uncover 9 (see fig. 7.21) and the runner 10.
2. Unscrew screws of fastening of the vacuum regulator 23 and remove it.
3. Unscrew the screw of fastening of the insulator 29 of the plug of low voltage and remove the plug.
4. Unscrew two screws 26 of fastening of a contact rack of the 27th breaker and remove a rack.
5. Remove a castle washer from an axis a rychazhka of the 28th breaker, disconnect a wire from a contact rack, having pressed the isolating plug and having overcome at the same time effort of a spring a rychazhka.
6. Remove a rychazhok of the 28th breaker with a wire and the plug of low voltage.
7. Unscrew screws of fastening of the lower plate of the breaker to the case of the distributor and remove it.
8. If necessary separate mobile 25 and motionless 21 plates of the breaker.
9. For dismantle of the roller 19 remove a spring ring from the cam coupling of 1 drive, beat out a pin from openings of the coupling and roller, remove the coupling and take out the roller.
10. Take out a felt epiploon 14 of an opening in a cam 8, unscrew the screw of fastening of a cam.
11. Disconnect springs 16 from a plate of a cam 8 and remove a cam together with a plate.
12. Remove springs 16, small weights of the 17th centrifugal regulator and a cam.
13. Vypressuyte bearings 18 of a case shaft if their replacement is required.
Definition of technical condition of details
After dismantling check a condition of a working surface of contacts of the breaker. In case of big transfer of metal from one contact on another smooth out them the "velvet" file which was not applied to other purposes. Do not use any abrasive materials for cleaning of contacts. These requirements are explained by the fact that existence on contacts of particles of other metals or an abrasive will inevitably lead to their bystry obgoraniye.

       PREVENTION
When cleaning delete only a hillock on contact of a rack of the breaker. It is not recommended to remove completely a crater (deepening) on contact a breaker rychazhka in order to avoid removal of a tungsten layer.

After cleaning wash out contacts of the breaker gasoline and wipe with the dry pure fabric which is not leaving fibers.
Assembly
Collect the distributor as it should be, the return to dismantling, taking into account the following:
press new bearings on a manual or pneumatic press then special development deploy them to diameter of 12,7+0,012 - 0,006 mm;
before assembly grease a shaft of the distributor, an axis of small weights of the centrifugal regulator, a surface of small weights and plates of the centrifugal regulator with Litol-24 lubricant;
at assembly of the distributor provide the following gaps in connections: a longitudinal free wheeling of a shaft — no more than 0,35 mm; a gap between small weights and a plate of a cam — 0,2–0,5 mm; an axial free wheeling of a cam — 0,05–0,55 mm. The specified gaps correct selection of adjusting washers.
After assembly of the distributor dig 4–5 drops of engine oil in a distributor butterdish, 2–3 drops — on фильц a cam, 3–4 drops — in the cam plug, check and adjust the distributor at the stand.
Adjustment of the distributor of ignition
Adjust a corner of the closed condition of contacts as it is described above. In the absence of the stand check the flat probe and adjust a gap between contacts of the breaker (0,45±0,05) mm.
For adjustment of a gap execute the following.
1. Turn the distributor roller so that the breaker cam completely opened contacts (the textolite pillow of mobile contact has to lean on cam top).
2. Weaken an inhaling of screws 26 (see fig. 7.21).
3. Insert the screw-driver into a groove of a contact rack 27 and, moving a rack, increase or reduce a gap between contacts.
4. Tighten screws 26 and again check a gap.
Consider that adjustment of a gap between contacts in essence represents restoration of a corner of the closed condition of contacts on an indirect sign which the gap is. At the same time it is supposed that contacts are in perfect tune. In operation their form is usually distorted and adjustment of a gap practically never leads to restoration of an optimum angle of the closed condition of contacts. Therefore we recommend after installation of the distributor for the engine (see below) to adjust this corner by means of the automobile testers which are available on sale.

       PREVENTION
After adjustment of a gap (a corner of the closed state) on the engine installation of the initial moment of ignition which is required to be restored inevitably changes.

Installation of the distributor on the engine

1. Install the piston of the first cylinder of the engine in VMT, having combined a tag 2 (see fig. 2.3) on a pulley of a bent shaft with an edge of an adjusting pin 1.
2. Uncover the distributor.
3. Turn the runner in situation at which its tokoraznosny plate will be established against the low-voltage plug of the distributor.
4. Insert a distributor shaft into the distributor drive case on the engine, having directed the camera of the vacuum proofreader along an engine axis back, and turn the distributor roller for the runner in this or that party before combination of thorns of the cam coupling of the roller with a drive roller groove a little.

       PREVENTION
Thorns of the cam coupling and reciprocal groove in the roller of the drive are displaced concerning a symmetry axis therefore to install the distributor, without having turned previously the runner towards the low-voltage plug, it will not be possible.

5. Having inserted a distributor shaft into a drive mouth against the stop, fix it, having tightened the plug on a mouth.
After installation of the distributor determine the initial moment of ignition.
Check and installation of the initial moment of ignition
More simply and more precisely it is possible to check and determine the initial moment of ignition by means of a stroboscope.
1. Connect a stroboscope on the car according to the instruction attached to it (stroboscopes of different types connect differently).
2. Launch the engine and on the mode of idling direct the blinking stroboscope light to adjusting tags on a pulley of a bent shaft and a pin in the lower cover of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see fig. 2.3). Because of stroboscopic effect of a tag on a pulley seem motionless. If the initial moment of ignition is determined correctly, the tag 3 on a pulley coincides with an edge of an adjusting pin.
3. For adjustment of the initial moment of ignition weaken fastening of the distributor and turn its case in the necessary party until coincidence of a tag 3 with a pin.

       PREVENTION
Be careful, determining the ignition moment on the working engine as all rotating engine details in flickering light of a stroboscope seem motionless or slowly moving.

4. Delay fastening of the distributor and double-check installation of the initial moment of ignition.
In the absence of a stroboscope the initial moment of ignition can be determined on the idle engine by means of a control lamp, for example any low-power automobile to which contacts in any way attach pieces of wires.
1. Turn out a spark plug of the first cylinder and densely muffle a candle opening a paper stopper.
2. Slowly rotate a bent shaft for a ratchet until the beginning of a step of compression in the first cylinder that determine by pushing out of a paper stopper from a candle opening.
3. Continuing to rotate a bent shaft in the same direction, combine a tag 3 (see fig. 2.3) on a pulley of a bent shaft with an edge of an adjusting pin 1.
4. Screw a spark plug of the first cylinder and attach a control lamp one wire to "weight", and another – to the ignition coil conclusion connected to the low-voltage plug of the distributor.
5. Uncover the distributor, weaken a nut of fastening of its shaft in the drive and, having included ignition (the control lamp will light up), turn the distributor case counterclockwise till the moment when the control lamp goes out.
6. Slightly drawing in a finger the runner clockwise, turn the distributor case in the same direction until fire of a control lamp (the moment of the beginning of disconnection of contacts). Enshrine the distributor in this provision, establish into place its cover and disconnect a control lamp.

On the Izh-21261 car with the engine of fashion. 331 B117A ignition coil is used. The coil of ignition is installed on the right mudguard of 7 (fig. 7.24). With the VAZ-2106 engine the coil of ignition is installed on the left side on an arm of the rechargeable battery.
Check of the coil of ignition on the car
1. Uncover the distributor of ignition and, turning a bent shaft of the engine, come into contacts of the breaker in the closed state.
2. Take out a high-voltage wire from the central nest of a cover of the distributor and bring its tip to "mass" of the engine (for example, to the block of cylinders) on distance of 5-7 mm.
3. Include ignition and periodically disconnect contacts of the breaker the subject (a wooden or plastic stick) which is not carrying current. At serviceable the ignition coil, the condenser of the distributor and completely charged rechargeable battery each disconnection of contacts has to be followed by an uninterrupted spark in an interval between a high-voltage wire and "mass" of the engine.
Check of the coil of ignition at the stand
At the stand check the maximum frequency of rotation of the roller of the distributor with which the coil of ignition provides uninterrupted sparking (1750 min.-1). The stand for check of devices of system of ignition has to be equipped with three-electrode needle rated sportsmen with a spark interval of 7 mm.

On the engine of fashion. 331 establish candles of A20D1 or FE85P. The spark plug consists of the ceramic insulator 5 (fig. 7.25) with the internal central electrode 2 made of heat-resistant alloy and condensed in the insulator steklogermetiky, and the metal case 4 on which the side electrode 1 is welded. The isolation center with all elements entering it is fixed in the case by a zavaltsovka.
For tightness of connection of a candle with a head of the block of cylinders metal sealing laying 3 figured sections is installed on the case of a candle.
Survey and check
After removal of a candle from the engine be convinced of lack of any mechanical damages of a thermal cone of the insulator and electrodes of a candle.
Clear a soot and a deposit on a thermal cone of the insulator on the sanding device, wash out a candle a brush in pure gasoline and blow compressed air.

       PREVENTIONS
1. Do not clear the insulator of a candle sharp objects or a metal brush. The scratches formed at the same time provoke the accelerated nagaroobrazovaniye.
2. Do not delete a deposit, a soot and oil from the insulator, "burning" a candle on an open flame. Because of uneven heating the insulator warps, and the candle loses tightness.

Check the round probe a gap between electrodes which has to be 0,8+0,15 mm.
Regulate a gap a podgibaniye of a side electrode 1.

       PREVENTION
It is forbidden to regulate a gap a podgibaniye of the central electrode as any its bend will lead to breakage of the insulator.

Check serviceability of a candle on the special device under pressure. In serviceable candles with a pressure (834±49) kPa or (8,5±0,5) kgfs/cm2 uninterrupted sparking between electrodes has to be provided. With a pressure (1031±49) kPa or (10,5±0,5) kgfs/cm2 the new candle has to be tight – air should not pass in places of connections of the central electrode with the insulator and the insulator with the case.
