Frequency of maintenance (service book)

Maintenance of the car is recommended to be carried out at car repair shops, the list of works and their frequency are provided in the service book.

Use of a jack
Before posting of the removed wheel a jack install the car on the flat horizontal platform and enclose an emphasis under other wheels. At removal of a forward wheel slow down the car the parking brake, in the absence of the horizontal platform include in addition the 1st transfer.
Establish on a jack height approximately equal to distance from the surface of soil to a nest for a jack under the body basis.

Implant a paw of 4 (fig. 1.25) of a jack into a nest, establish the basis 1 on one vertical with an end face of a nest and, rotating the handle 8 clockwise, lift the car. Lift the car smoothly, without breakthroughs and pushes, rotating the handle. Install the car on strong support, it is desirable industrial production.
Safety rules when using of a jack:
– it is impossible to use a faulty jack (damage of the screw, a nut, wear of hinged knots and so forth);
– it is forbidden to support in the course of raising of the car a jack for the plane A of a rack 2;
– for bigger stability of a jack on slippery soil enclose a piece of a board, plywood, etc. under the basis;
– it is strictly forbidden to work under the car installed on a jack;
– it is not recommended to open doors and a cowl on the car lifted on a jack.
After completion of work clear a jack of dirt and check availability of lubricant in couple the screw nut. For lubricant it is possible to use any lubricants applied in the car.

Adjustment of thermal gaps in the drive of valves
You carry out adjustment of thermal gaps in the drive of valves according to the frequency of maintenance specified in the service book, or at detection of the increased knock in the valvate mechanism. Thermal gaps regulate on the cold engine. Gaps between end faces of adjusting screws of a yoke and tips of cores of valves have to be 0,15 mm for inlet and final valves.

Adjustment of a tension of a chain of the drive of the mechanism of gas distribution
You carry out adjustment on the cold engine, at the tightened nuts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders. An order of adjustment of a tension of a chain see. "engine. Adjustment of a tension of a chain" for both models.
Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of the drive of the generator and water pump
The tension of a belt of the drive of the generator and water pump is checked, measuring a belt branch deflection between pulleys of the water pump and generator. Deflection of a belt of the engine of fashion. 331 when pressing with effort of 39 N (4 kgfs) has to make (8±1) mm, at the engine of fashion. 2106 — 10–15 mm at effort of 98,1 N (10 kgfs). For increase in a tension of a belt it is necessary to move the generator in the direction from the block of cylinders, for reduction – to the block. An adjustment order see. "engine. The air coming to the filter is purified of dust by the dry paper filtering element. For an intake of the air which is warmed up by the engine in cold season the filter is supplied with a hose of 5 (fig. 1.26) which is connected to an air inlet branch pipe on a final collector. At operation in the summer the hose is removed. Frequency of replacement of the filtering element 4 is specified in the service book, however at continuous operation of the car in zones with the increased dust content the element should be changed through 10 thousand km of a run.
For replacement of the filtering element turn off nuts 1, remove washers 2 and a cover 3. When replacing of the filtering element clear the filter case of resinous deposits.

Through 30 thousand km of a run at the engine of model UEPA-331 wash out kerosene or unleaded gasoline the filter 3 (fig. 1.27) of ventilation of a case which is in a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. At the VAZ-2106 engine through 30 thousand km of a run wash out system of ventilation of a case.

Because the VAZ-2106 engine with the air filter (fig. 2.36) installed on the carburetor did not provide the requirement of UNECE Regulations for toxicity of the fulfilled gases, instead of the filter installed on the carburetor more effective portable filter is used.

The portable filter consists of the filtering element 6 (fig. 1.28) of the case 5, a cover 7 and the temperature regulator 1 borrowed the VAZ-2105 car.

The air filter fastens in a motor compartment to a body two belts 2 (fig. 1.29).
Air is soaked up through a temperature regulator 4. Depending on an operation season the gate in a temperature regulator is switched for receipt or the cold, or warmed-up air. The air which is warmed up from a final collector arrives through a branch pipe of the 17th air inlet and a sleeve of the 6th supply of warm air.
The purified air through the taking-away sleeve 18 is soaked up in the carburetor through the flange bringing 7. To the bringing flange 7 the exhaust hose of the 12th ventilation of a case with a flame arrester of the 11th ventilation of a case fastens.
Care of the air filter consists in switching of the gate depending on an operation season on the cold or warmed-up air, and also in replacement of the paper filtering element through each 15 000 km of a run.
For change of the filtering element it is necessary to unfasten three spring levers 4 (see fig. 1.28), to take out the filtering element, to wipe with a dry rag an internal cavity of the case 5 of the filter and a cover 7 and to enclose the new filtering element 6.

On the engine of fashion. 331 install the DAAZ-2140 carburetor equipped with autonomous system of idling with the economizer of compulsory idling (ECI) which is turning off supply of fuel in engine cylinders on the mode of compulsory idling (when braking by the engine). Engine of fashion. 2106 equip with the two-chamber carburetor of fashion. 2107-1107010 emulsion types with autonomous system of idling.
Adjustment of idling of the carburetor
The engine is adjusted at the plant in the idling mode on the content of carbon oxide (SO) and hydrocarbons (SN). However in use adjustment is broken therefore periodically (frequency is specified in the service book) it is necessary to restore adjustment of the carburetor. Adjustment is carried out on the heated-up engine with the adjusted gaps in the drive of valves and at correctly exposed ignition moment. An adjustment order see. "Adjustment of system of idling".
Check of correctness of provision of a float in the carburetor
Its overestimated level in the float-operated camera of the carburetor can be one of the reasons of increase in a consumption of gasoline. In this case, and also when replacing the needle valve or a float check and correctly establish the provision of a float and size of its course.

Filter of thin purification of fuel

The filter of thin purification of fuel is installed in a fuel-supply line between the fuel pump and the carburetor (fig. 1.30). The contamination of the filter can lead to deceleration of power of the engine. The filter has a non-demountable design, it is replaced according to the frequency specified in the service book. When replacing the filter pay attention to the direction of the arrow put on the filter case: it has to be directed towards the movement of fuel, to the carburetor. Replacing the filter, take precautionary measures, do not allow hit of gasoline on knots and details in a motor compartment.

At maintenance of the transmission check ease and clearness of inclusion of transfers, tightness of consolidations, oil level, lack of foreign knocks and noise, tighten threaded connections.
Check and adjustment of a free wheeling of the external end of a fork of switching off of coupling

At maintenance of coupling the free wheeling of a fork of 5 (fig. 1.31) is regulated. The gap between a pusher and the piston of the main cylinder of coupling is not regulated. The free wheeling of the external end of a fork of switching off makes 4,5–5,5 mm (4–5 mm for coupling VAZ) and corresponds to a gap about 2,5 mm between the bearing and a basic heel. At maintenance of a forward suspension bracket (see fig. 4.1) check technical condition of damping racks 7, the top support 14, the buffer of compression 17, an antisplash cover 19, springs 20, and also a condition of rubber-metal hinges, rubber plugs.
The broken-off protective covers of damping racks and spherical fingers, the destroyed compression buffers, the top support 14 with rubber, otsloyenny from fittings, and gaps in the rubber, the destroyed rubber plugs, pillows, worn-out rubber-metal hinges, the broken springs are subject to replacement. Emergence of a leak from a damping rack is the basis for its repair. You make repairs at service station.
Check an admissible gap in the spherical hinge at the hung-out forward wheel. If the gap of B between a board 24 brakes and a lug of the lower lever 28 of a suspension bracket increases more than by 0,5 mm at side rocking of a wheel, then replace the spherical hinge new.
Back suspension bracket

Check of technical condition of a back suspension bracket (fig. 1.32) according to the service book comes down to periodic surveys of rubber plugs of fastening of bars, buffers of compression, rubber plugs of shock-absorbers, springs and bars. At detection of wear, destruction, breakage of details replace them new.
Wear of rubber plugs is defined visually and rocking of a back part of the car for identification of a gap in points of fastening of bars and shock-absorbers.
For check of shock-absorbers of a back suspension bracket (and also damping racks of a forward suspension bracket) pump over each party of a suspension bracket to a contact of buffers of compression then free fluctuations of a body should not continue more than three cycles.
At the same time there should not be knocks and jammings of shock-absorbers, and also liquid dribble. Repair shock-absorbers at service station.

Shift and balancing of wheels

For an exception of uneven wear of tires periodically according to instructions in the service book interchange the position of wheels according to the scheme (fig. 1.33). Finally tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel only on the car standing on wheels. At assembly at the plant the car is completed with the balanced wheels.
In use at emergence of wagging of forward wheels, spotty wear of tires and after each installation of new tires check balancing of wheels for service stations.
The imbalance is eliminated by means of the special balancing small weights established on a wheel rim otbortovka. Not to break balancing of a wheel when replacing the camera, before a razbortovka chalk make a mark in a tire against the gate of the camera and at installation establish a tire on this tag.

It is impossible to operate the car with the lowered pressure in tires. Air pressure in tires is checked the manometer. If continuous pressure drop of air in the tire is observed, check whether there is no leak of air through a camera zolotnik. At detection of leak of air tighten a zolotnik or replace new. If a zolotnik serviceable, repair or replace the camera.

Installation of forward wheels
Need for adjustment of angles of installation of wheels arises:
– at deterioration in stabilization of forward wheels (lack of spontaneous return of a steering wheel after turn) that is a consequence of violation of corners of a longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a telescopic rack and disorder of wheels;
– at withdrawal of the car from the rectilinear movement as a result of a big difference (more than 0 °30’) corners of disorder of the right and left forward wheels;
– at the accelerated wear of a protector of the tire on the one hand because of violation of a corner of disorder of wheels;
– at uneven step wear of a protector of tires that indicates violation of a convergence of wheels;
– at a zadevaniye tires of details of a forward suspension bracket because of violation of equality of angles of rotation of wheels to the left and right side.
Check and adjustment of angles of installation of forward wheels is recommended to be carried out at service stations at the special optical stands providing the accuracy of measurements of corners. In the absence of the equipment it is possible to check with a smaller accuracy independently by means of a plumb, a ruler, a cord or a lath. Previously check pressure in tires, lack of jamming of rods in damping racks, lack of gaps in hinges of a forward suspension bracket and bearings of naves of forward wheels. Eliminate the found defects and deviations by adjustment or replacement of faulty details.
Check installation of wheels on completely filled and equipped car with load of 6770 N (677 kgfs) for forward wheels and 7630 N (763 kgfs) – on back which is distributed on 700 N (70 kgfs) on two lobbies and three back places for sitting and 500 N (50 kgfs) in the luggage compartment. Install the car on the horizontal flat platform, the provision of forward wheels has to correspond to the rectilinear movement, at the same time the index of the protective cap which is on a shaft of a gear wheel of the steering mechanism has to coincide with a ledge (tag) on a case cover.
For stabilization of the situation of knots of a suspension bracket pump over its two-three times with vertical effort of 400-500 N (40–50 kgfs).
For increase in a corner of a longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a damping rack turn on 180 ° the top support 14 (see fig. 4.1) concerning an axis of a rod of the 18th rack. At the same time the corner of a longitudinal inclination will increase on 0 °52’.

For definition of disorder of wheels measure the sizes A and B from rim points with an equal beating to a plumb or a square (fig. 1.34). At the correct installation of wheels the difference of the sizes (V-A) has to be 2–8 mm. For adjustment of a corner of disorder weaken bolts 4, 5 (see fig. 4.1) fastenings of a damping rack to a rotary fist.
At turn of the top eccentric bolt 5 on one division on the washer which is rigidly pressed on a bolt rather triangular risks on an arm of a damping rack the disorder corner on 0 °30 changes’. Upon termination of adjustment tighten nuts of bolts the moment of 49-61 N · m (5–6,2 kgfs · м).
You carry out check and adjustment of a convergence of wheels after check of disorder of wheels. For definition of a convergence of wheels measure distance With (see fig. 1.34) between sidewalls of tires at edges ободьев wheels. Then move the car forward so that wheels turned on 180 °, and measure distance in the same points.
At the correct installation of a convergence the size C has to be 1-3 mm more than the size D. This situation is reached by lengthening or shortening of steering drafts evenly for the right and left side.

Tips rest against a case of the steering mechanism, limiting the maximum angles of rotation of forward wheels on condition of equality of angles of rotation of wheels in each of the parties that is provided with adjustment of length of steering drafts. The difference of angles of rotation to the right and to the left for internal, the next to the center of turn of wheels should not exceed 0 °30’. For carrying out the specified adjustment, and also installation of a necessary convergence of wheels on spherical draft 24 (see fig. 5.2) and an external tip 26 the carving is provided. At rotation of spherical draft the distance between hinges of this draft and an angular arrangement in the plane of rotation of a wheel changes.

Steering adjustment
The free wheeling (side play) of a steering wheel at normal gaps in the steering and the provision of the operated wheels corresponding to the movement of the car on a straight line should not exceed 5 ° at measurement on a wheel rim. If the free wheeling is more, execute the following:
– be convinced of lack of gaps in bearings of naves of forward wheels;
– check, turning a steering wheel in one and other party whether there is no knock and a free wheeling in hinges of the steering mechanism, steering drafts, the lower lever and in a rack of a forward suspension bracket. With malfunction replace worn-out knots;
– check and if necessary tighten details of fastening of a steering wheel, a steering column, the driveshaft, a case of the steering mechanism, tips of steering drafts.
If the free wheeling is more than admissible, address on service station.
The design of the rack steering mechanism and spherical hinges of steering drafts provides automatic compensation of the gaps appearing at operation, and also protection of the rubbing details from hit of water and dirt, does not demand adjustment and replenishment of lubricant throughout long term on condition of preservation of tightness of protective covers as at their damage operability of knots sharply decreases.
These works carry out only during the dismantling and assembly of the steering mechanism and hinges of steering drafts. Surely replace the damaged covers new.

At service of the car you watch that on the rubbing surfaces of brake shoes lubricant did not get.
It is strictly forbidden to apply to washing of details and knots of a hydraulic actuator of the brake system gasoline or mineral solvents of any type as it will lead to final fracture of rubber details. Wash out a hydraulic actuator only fresh brake fluid.

Check the size of a full speed of a pedal of a brake of 150-155 mm (fig. 1.35) at not filled brake system and the size of the working course of a pedal (no more than 100 mm) during the operation of the vacuum amplifier and effort to pedals (500±10) N or (50±1) kgfs. The vacuum amplifier 1 does not need adjustment and maintenance at operation of the car.
Service of disk brakes of forward wheels

If blocks of a disk brake have no wear signaling device, then through each 15 thousand km check their state. You perform inspection of brake shoes at the removed wheels through a window of a support 5 (see fig. 6.3). Replace blocks if thickness of frictional slips decreased to 1,5 mm. A replacement procedure of blocks see. "Replacement of brake shoes".
If blocks are removed not for replacement, and for access to other details, mark blocks that at the subsequent assembly to put them on the former place. Before installation of new blocks be convinced that the brake disk 8 has no damages, for example, especially deep рисок or wear more than 0,5 mm on the party. If necessary replace a disk new. At detection of cracks, gaps on a boot of the piston or a protective cover of the directing finger replace them. After replacement of blocks several times press a brake pedal for leading of blocks to a disk.
Service of drum brakes of back wheels
For survey of brake shoes remove wheels and brake drums. Surfaces of frictional slips have to be pure, without traces of lubricant or dirt. At detection of traces of lubricant remove the cause of its emergence then clear frictional slips a metal brush and wash out their surface kerosene. Replace the damaged blocks. Replace blocks and in case thickness of a frictional slip decreased to 1,5 mm. If on the working surface of brake drums chisel deep risks, a ring fillet or uneven wear (ovality), drums to service stations or replace new.
Decrease in efficiency of operation of the parking brake testifies to a cable pulling, oiling or wear-out of overlays of blocks of brakes of back wheels.

Replacement of oil and lubricant of units and mechanisms
Apply the lubricants recommended in the appendix 3 to providing the best operating conditions of units and mechanisms, observe frequency of their addition and replacement according to the service book. Do not mix oil and liquid of different brands when replacing or their dolivka in car units. It is necessary to wash out systems during the replacing and transition from one type of lubricant or liquid by another.
Replacement of oil in an engine case

You make replacement of oil on the hot engine. For discharge of the fulfilled oil turn off a stopper of 1 (fig. 1.36) at the engine of fashion. 331 or a stopper 24 (see fig. 2.36) at the engine of fashion. VAZ-2106. After discharge of oil from a case wash out lubricant system of the engine the washing oil for what fill in 2–2,5 l of pure oil, start the engine and let's it work idling within 10 min. Further merge the washing oil and replace a full-line oil filter. Fill in the pure oil corresponding to an operation season through a mouth of 3 (fig. 1.37) of the engine of fashion. 331 or the mouth closed by a stopper of 2 (fig. 1.38) of the engine of fashion. VAZ-2106. Oil needs to be filled in to a tag the MOVE on the index of level of oil 2 (fig. 1.36) of the engine of fashion. 331 or index of 1 (fig. 1.38) of the VAZ-2106 engine. Launch the engine, let's it work before full heating of oil and stop. In 5–8 min. measure the level of oil and if necessary bring to the top tag.
Replacement of the filtering element of the full-line filter of purification of oil

For replacement of a DAAZ-2105 oil filter turn off it from the union 2 (fig. 1.39) wrapped in an arm 3 full-line filters. Use adaptation shown in fig. 1.40 to removal of an oil filter. Check quality of a sealing rubber ring, oil it engine and establish a new oil filter. Into place wrap a new oil filter at installation only by effort of a hand.

Check the level of oil on a cold box when all oil flows down from walls of a case and gear wheels.

Replacement of oil in the transmission

Merge the fulfilled oil from a case through the drain opening in the lower part of a case closed by a carving stopper of 2 (fig. 1.41). Fill in new oil in a case through the opening on the left side closed by a carving stopper 1 to the lower edge of an opening. Lowering of the level of oil below an edge approximately on 6 mm is allowed.
Lubricant of shlitsevy connection of the forward driveshaft
Through each 30 thousand km of a run grease with Fiol-1 lubricant mobile shlitsevy connection of the forward driveshaft with a flange of the elastic coupling, having turned off a carving stopper.
Replacement of oil in a case of the back bridge
For discharge of the fulfilled oil turn off a stopper of a drain opening. Fill in new oil in a case of the back bridge to the lower edge of the bulk opening closed by a stopper.
Replacement of liquid of hydraulic drives of coupling and working brake system
When replacing brake fluid in drives of coupling and the working brake system merge from them the fulfilled liquid and wash out fresh liquid.
It is necessary to delete air from systems after elimination of the malfunction which arose because of violation of tightness of a hydraulic actuator and when replacing liquid. Signs of availability of air in system are the increased course and "softness" of the course of a pedal. When using brake fluid do not allow hit it on the painted surfaces of the car. A replacement procedure of brake fluid and pumping of the drive of coupling see operations on repair of the drive of coupling, and the drive of brakes – see. "Replacement of brake fluid".
Lubricant of hinges of a forward suspension bracket and steering drafts
In use the car according to the frequency of maintenance specified in the service book check a condition of protective covers of hinges. Replace the damaged covers new, having enclosed in them new lubricant.
Bearings of naves of forward and back wheels
On the car bearings with bilateral consolidation are installed. In use they do not demand adjustment and additional lubricant.
Lubricant of mechanisms of fittings of a body
Grease mechanisms and details of fittings of a body at emergence of a scratch in operating time, jamming of mobile parts and so forth.
For satisfactory work of hinged connections of the rubbing surfaces in mechanisms of fittings of a body there is enough giving of several drops of oil or drawing a thin layer of lubricant. Remove surplus of lubricant not to pollute a body upholstery.
Gas station of the cooling system of the engine
The cooling system of the engine is filled with special liquid – antifreeze, not freezing at a temperature of air up to -40 °C. Besides, it has the anticorrosive and anti-making foam properties interfering scaling. Antifreeze can remain in system within three years provided that the general run for the specified time will not exceed 60 thousand km.
At maintenance of the car check and if necessary restore the level of cooling liquid in a broad tank not below MIN tag. A replacement procedure of cooling liquid see. "Cooling system".
Be careful at removal of a stopper from a mouth of a broad tank on the hot engine: not to burn, remove a stopper, having covered with a big napkin.

Electric equipment
Devices of electric equipment work from a source of a direct current with a rated voltage of 12 V, are connected according to the single-wire scheme. As the second wire serve metal parts ("weight") of the car to which the - plugs of devices are attached.
Serviceability of operation of devices of electric equipment is checked according to the provided schemes (see. "Schemes of electric equipment"). Possible changes in schemes are connected with their improvement. Color designations of wires are specified in the electric circuit.

1. When performing the repair work connected with separation and connection of wires wrong accession of a conclusion "+" the generator to "mass" of the car leads to failure of the rectifier of current and electronic knots.
2. Do not switch-off the rechargeable battery during the operation of the engine – it can lead to failure of the regulator of tension, the rectifier and electronic knots.

In system of electric equipment of the car I will corrode for diagnostics, established in podkapotny space on the left mudguard, serves for connection of stands for diagnostics of electric equipment.
Block of safety locks and relay
Fuses and the relay are installed in the assembly block mounted in the left side of a motor compartment. 16 fuses, the relay breaker of indexes of turn and the alarm system, the relay of a screen wiper, the relay of driving beam of headlights, the relay of a sound signal, the relay of the fan of cooling of a radiator, the relay of passing beam of headlights, the relay of heating of back glass enter into structure of the block, depending on a car complete set.
The assembly block from above is closed by a cover on which inside numbers of safety locks and symbols of knots which electric chains are protected by safety locks are put.
Before replacement of the fused safety lock remove the cause of an exit it out of operation.
Fuses did not protect ignition chains, a winding of excitement of the generator, relay of inclusion of headlights.
Rechargeable battery
You carry out maintenance of the battery according to the maintenance instruction of rechargeable batteries.
System of ignition
In order that the system of ignition worked normally, watch purity of wires of high voltage, a condition of rubber caps on wires, emergence of traces of oxidation in places of connections.
Spark plugs
Regularly clear candles of a deposit and regulate a gap between electrodes. Before a vyvertyvaniye of a candle remove with a brush or compressed air dirt from a candle nest in a head of the block of cylinders. Clear a deposit a rigid brush or a glass skin, do not use the metal tool to cleaning.
Check a gap between electrodes of a candle the round wire probe and regulate a podgibaniye of a side electrode. A gap for the engine of fashion. Has to be 331 0,8–0,95 mm, for the engine of fashion. 2106 – 0,5–0,6 mm.
For reliable launch of the engine in cold season replace spark plugs new.
Old, but still efficient candles can be used in warm season. At installation of a new candle wash out it unleaded gasoline and dry on air. Establish candles into place surely with laying and delay with the help of a special key.
Ignition distributor
At maintenance of the distributor of ignition perform the following works:
– clear external and internal surfaces of a cover of the distributor of oil and dirt, wipe with the pure rag moistened in gasoline, a rotor, a cam and contacts of the breaker;
– check a condition of a working surface of contacts of the breaker. In case of big transfer of metal from one contact on another smooth out them a flat velvet file. Completely the breaker rychazhka is not recommended to remove deepening on contact;
– check a gap between contacts of the breaker which has to be (0,45±0,05) mm – for the engine of fashion. 331, (0,4±0,05) mm – for the engine of fashion. 2106;
– check correctness of initial installation of the moment of ignition (see. "electric equipment. Adjustment of the distributor of ignition") for all models.
In the presence of the special equipment instead of adjustment of a gap establish a corner of the closed condition of contacts (50±3) ° for the engine of fashion. 331, (55±3) ° for the engine of fashion. 2106.
At lubricant of the rubbing details of the distributor of ignition it is impossible to apply oil from a case of the engine and to give more, than it is necessary: excessive lubricant pollutes contacts of the breaker.
At maintenance:
– check an inhaling of details of fastening of the generator;
– check a generator drive belt tension (see. "Engine"). At adjustment avoid an excessive tension of a belt not to cause the raised loads of generator bearings;
– unscrew two screws of fastening of the regulator of tension to a cover of the generator and remove tension regulator with the brush holder and a casing;
– check ease of movement of brushes in the holder and the size of their wear. If brushes act from the brush holder on 5 mm and less, replace the brush holder;
– smooth out a glass skin contact rings of the generator.
It is not allowed:
– to check serviceability of the generator on sparking, closing on "weight" and among themselves generator conclusions;
– operation of the generator with the switched-off rechargeable battery.
At service of a starter execute the following operations:
– check an inhaling of nuts of hairpins of fastening of a starter to the block of cylinders of the engine;
– check an inhaling of clips of the wires attached to starter plugs;
– check wear and a prileganiye of brushes, replace brushes new in case of their wear up to the height less than 7 mm for the engine of fashion. 331 and 12 mm – for the engine of fashion. 2106;
– wipe a collector with the pure rag moistened in gasoline. If traces of a podgoraniye are not washed away, smooth out a collector a glass skin;
– check a condition of contacts of the traction relay, at a podgoraniye smooth out;
– clear and grease with Litol-24 lubricant of a vent of a shaft of a starter, the plug of both covers, a gear wheel of inclusion and a flood ring of the drive of a starter.
It is impossible to include a starter at the rotating engine flywheel.

The body should be washed right after a trip as soon as the cowl cools down. That water did not get on the rubbing surfaces of brakes of back wheels, previously turn on the parking brake.
In the open air in summertime the body is washed in a shadow. It is impossible to wash a body in the open air at a temperature below 0 °C, and also to leave a garage on a frost if a body still wet. At a sink it is desirable to apply car shampoos to ensuring purity of a surface of a covering. The stream of cold or slightly warm water under the pressure of average force should be directed at an angle to a body surface.
The bottom of a body and mechanisms of the chassis wash out water from a hose under a big pressure, at the same time water should not get on electric equipment which is under an engine cowl.
In the absence of a water supply system plentifully water a body from a garden watering can or a bucket. It is strictly forbidden to use soda, kerosene, mineral oils and sea water. They destroy not only paint, but also rubber a sealant of windowpanes.
Delete spots of mineral oil or bitumen from a surface of a body with a cleaner of bituminous spots or the rags which are slightly moistened in gasoline then wash out a large amount of warm water and wipe dry.
Several times moisten the dried-up dirt on external surfaces of a body with a stream of water from which it will be softened and will easily be washed away from a body surface. When dirt and dust are washed away, on a surface of a body there is still a thin layer of silt which is deleted, moistening a sponge, a soft hair brush, suede with warm water and the besshchelochny washing structures. Then once again pour clear water, quickly wipe with a dry soft flannel all body that on a surface there were no spots.
Periodically clean a wooden stick of an opening in a board of a forward part of a body through which the water accumulating in front board bar cavities, and also drainage openings in the doorway and body thresholds follows.
Cleaning of an upholstery of salon and rugs of a floor
For maintenance of good appearance of an upholstery of salon and rugs wash out them weak solution of two-carbonic soda in warm water or soap solution, using a sponge or a piece of a poroplast. After a sink dry wipe with a flannel or a pure rag. Delete fat spots from an upholstery with autoupholstery cleaners.
Protection of the painted surfaces
For protection of a paint and varnish covering of a body and preservation of good appearance regularly process the painted surfaces polishing structures. Before polishing carefully wash up and dry up a body.
Polishes are divided into three groups: for the new coverings which partially lost gloss and old coverings. Frequency of renewal of a protective layer (polishing) is defined depending on service conditions and recommendations for the applied structure. Once a month apply polishes of the first group to new coverings: Avtopolirol, "Avtopolirol-2", Luster and Avtopolirol Preserving autopolish. For updating of the grown dull paint and varnish covering after 2–3 years of operation not more often than once in three months use polishes of the second group: polish for weather-beaten coverings. Polishes apply to old coverings after 3–5 years of operation.
Autopolish contains larger abrasive therefore apply it not more often than once a year in the structure.
After putting polishes of the second and third groups process a body to polishes for new coverings.
Protection of the bottom and its hidden cavities
You carry out anticorrosive protection of the bottom of a body, the internal surfaces of wings and mudguards, external surfaces of the longerons and amplifiers of a floor, wheel niches and other details which are constantly affected by various pollution and moisture at least once a year. Before drawing anticorrosive protective structures of a surface wash out a water stream by means of a rigid brush before full removal of dirt and carefully dry. Remove greasy spots with the rags moistened with gasoline. Cut off the exfoliating covering a knife, remove a rust from metal a skin, degrease a surface and dry. For removal of a loose thick coating of a rust use rust solvents. Apply soil, dry up. Cover the surface prepared thus with protective anticorrosive structure: mastic bituminous anticorrosive, an autoanticorrosive mixture for the bottom bituminous. Mastic is applied in 2–3 layers, thickness of a dry layer of 0,5-1 mm. When processing by mastic do not allow its hit on mechanisms and cables, and also cloggings of openings for a water drain.
Provide protection by the preserving structure like Movil at least time
in year of joints of welded connections, cavities of thresholds of a floor, cross-pieces of a floor, longerons, internal cavities of a floor, amplifiers of a floor and bottoms, racks of a sidewall, amplifiers of a cowl and luggage carrier, guards of a radiator, nests of headlights and so forth. Before drawing structure carefully remove pollution and dry.
Subpaint of surfaces
At damage of paint on a body surface, but safety of a layer of earth smooth out the defective place and tint it enamel from the jar attached to the car with spare paint. The body of the car is painted by synthetic enamel. In the jar attached to the car there is a quick-drying nitrocombined enamel of the same color. It dries at the room temperature in 15–20 min.
If the layer of earth is broken, polish the damaged place to pure metal, ground, dry, polish a layer of earth and tint enamel.

Storage of the car
Rules of storage
For statement of the car on long storage it is necessary to execute a complex of the actions guaranteeing its serviceability on all period of storage. The best results are achieved at storage of the car in the pure, warmed dark room at the air temperature not less than +5 °C and relative humidity of 50-70%.
The cars coming to various departments or retail chain stores can be stored by these organizations without carrying out preservation no more than one year from the date of shipment from manufacturer. If after the specified term the car is not put into operation, the organization in the course of storage and before sale has to perform the scheduled scheduled maintenance which is listed below.
At storage of the car indoors into which the sunlight gets cover a body and tires with a cover from the material passing moisture.
Such cover is capable to protect the car not only from sunlight action, but also from dust. Application of covers from water-proof materials (tarpaulin, an oilcloth etc.) leads to condensation of moisture on a body surface. In turn, long impact of moisture on paint can cause its flaking and formation of swellings.
The paint and varnish covering at appropriate leaving keeps gloss during all term of operation, but at the wrong storage under a waterproof cover can be destroyed within several days.
Optimal variant of storage of the car on the open parking – the waterproof cover tense on a framework in the form of a tent with an air layer between a body and a cover and also with a gap between the earth and a cover for ventilation.
Service of the car at long storage
If the car is placed in long storage, including for the interseasonal (winter) period, execute the following:
– carefully clear the car of dust and dirt;
– tint places with the damaged paint on a body surface, mechanisms and units of the chassis, apply autopreservative or autowax on a body;
– launch the engine and let's it work 1–2 min. without loading idling; let's the engine cool down, turn out candles and fill in in each cylinder approximately 30 cm3 of engine oil, turn a starter a bent shaft on 2–3 turns that walls of cylinders, piston rings, pistons became covered by a protective oil film; establish candles;
– merge liquid from a washer reservoir of a windshield and the cooling system if they are filled with water;
– weaken a generator drive belt tension;
– stick with the oiled tape (paper or fabric) an entrance opening of the case of the air cleaner and an exhaust outlet of the taking-away muffler pipe;
– clear electrical wires of dirt, dry wipe, grease contacts of the breaker;
– disconnect plugs from the rechargeable battery;
– the rechargeable battery you store as directed maintenance instructions;
– cover with a continuous thin layer of protective lubricant unpainted fasteners of mechanisms of control of gates of the carburetor, the parking brake system, locks of a cowl and doors of a body;
– for protection against dust close the engine under a cowl tarpaulin, a film or the oiled paper;
– for reduction of load of tires lift the car to a separation of wheels from floor level. Not to deform a detail of damping racks and shock-absorbers, lower the car by 20–30 mm, having established on supports, and reduce pressure in tires to 0,1 MPas (1,0 kgfs/cm2);
– establish supports in the locations of nests for a jack;
– grease and wrap up the oiled paper the driver's tool and accessories.
At storage of the car once in two months execute the following:
– remove a cover and examine the car. At detection of a rust smooth out the damaged sites and tint or cover with protective lubricant;
– turn a steering wheel on 2–3 turns in each party;
– press and release pedals of a brake, coupling and an accelerator, the lever of the parking brake, the handle of control of the air gate of the carburetor.
Preparation for operation after storage
Prepare the car for operation after long storage in the following order:
– pump up air in tires up to the normal pressure, remove supports from under the car body basis;
– remove protective lubricant from details and knots with a pure soft rag;
– remove the oiled paper or an insulating tape which stuck car details;
– adjust a tension of a driving belt of the generator;
– bring to the working condition and install the rechargeable battery on the car. Before accession of tips of wires to battery plugs carefully wipe tips;
– check a state and if necessary fill with liquid the cooling system and a washer reservoir of a windshield;
– wash out pure gasoline contacts of the distributor of ignition and wipe them dry;
– turn out candles and wash out them in unleaded gasoline. Without screwing a candle, turn a starter a bent shaft on 2–3 turns for release of cylinders from excess oil, and then screw candles in a head of the block of cylinders;
– before operation check operation of all units and mechanisms of the car.
